One of my very first customers

The other day, I was driving around downtown Orlando for some business errands, when I spotted a warehouse with huge rolls of carpet visible from the street. I was curious to see what kind of carpet business they were running, so I decided to stop by and check it out. As soon as I entered the warehouse, I saw a familiar logo on a big sign that read “Cutting Edge Carpet”. I instantly recognized it as one of the first customers that I sold a carpet cutting machine to, back when I started working in this industry 12 years ago.

I still remembered the owner’s name: Lance. He was very friendly and helpful when we first talked on the phone. I wondered if he was still there and if he remembered me. I asked one of the workers in the warehouse if Lance was around, and he pointed me to his office. I walked in and greeted Lance, who looked surprised but happy to see me. He invited me to sit down and we had a wonderful conversation for about half an hour.

He told me how his carpet cutting machine was still working perfectly and how much it had helped his business grow over the years. He thanked me for stopping by and said he was glad to finally meet me in person. I felt the same way. It was such a pleasure to put a face to a name and to see how satisfied he was with his carpet cutting machine. I love travelling and meeting customers like Lance, who appreciate the value of our products and services. It makes my job so rewarding. I hope to see him again soon.
